Speed improvements have allowed for new instant previews of effects before they are applied to images and the 64-bit architecture allows fast performance with larger or multiple images.Īs well as enhancing existing existing features, PaintShop Pro X7 also adds several new ones. This update features extensive changes to the user interface as well as a claimed 30 percent improvement in brush performance, including the Paint Brush, Airbrush and various retouching tools. ie white becomes vanilla. This week Corel has unveiled PaintShop Pro X7 and PaintShop Pro X7 Ultimate, two new versions of its image editing software for Windows. So when it compares the red channel 255 v 251 the 251 wins so the effect is theto change all white areas to R 251, G 244, B 225. So for the white area of the logo the values for a pixel are R 255, G 255, B 255 and for the vanilla colored pixel above it R 251, G 244, B 225. This is the lowesrt value pixel in each case. In the case of Darken the corresponding pixel values for each channel on layer a and layer b are compared and the darkest one used. So Multiply leaves coresponding white and black pixels alone but darkens all others. If top layer is a and bottom layer b and considering only the red channels for each pixelĢ55 x 255 / 255 = 255 so pixel value is unchanged - this meanss if the Green and blue are also 255 (all three = 255 = white ) then there is no change to a white pixelįor a mid pixel a =R 128, b = R 128 then 128 x 128 /255 = approx 64 so that pixel is darkened.įor a dark pixel a = R 0, b= R 0 then 0 x 0 / 255 = 0 so if the blue and green are also 0 then there is no change in all three and resultant color is black It multiplied the values of the pixels in the top layer by the values of the pixels in the lower layer and divides by 255. Multiply does not work as well because it darkens all non white pixels. Here are the options from the video written out.ġ) Set the background color on your materials palette to the color you wantĢ) Grab the Magic Wand tool, use the following settings: Mode: Replace Match Mode Color Tolerance: 0 Contiguous: Off Feather: 0 Anti-Alias: onģ) Click on the white background to create a selectionĤ) HIt the delete key to fill with the background colorġ) Set Offwhite as foreground color and White as your background colorĢ) Select "Color Replacer" from the toolbar.ģ) On the tool options palette click the "Replace All Pixels button" (it's a little hard to see so watch the video)ġ) Set offwhite as foreground color and White as your background colorĢ) Select the "Color Changer" from the toolbar In fact I'm pretty sure the color replacer tool does the exact same thing that plugin does.

And that's easily done with a quick video.

I think PSP is pretty darn easy you just have to know where the tools are.
